I made this portrait of John Spivey last month. John was a leading orthopedic surgeon and former Medical Director at the Nuffield Orthopedic Centre, Oxford, the painting is a commission for the NOC.
I just finished making a new zine! Its called BUNFIGHT, its a trans-feminist queer art zine about art/craft/folklore/myth etc. Issue 1- lots of painted faces/Joan of Arc/Fastwurms/etc., a3 double-sided 1/2 poster, 1/2 more substantial text. its 50p and I’m making a new blog for it too!!!

I’ve been making these paintings for the NHS, as part of a residency at the Nuffield Orthopedic centre, Oxford, where I’ve been documenting different patients orthopedic operations and post-surgical care. They will form part of a permanent exhibition at the NOC along with a number of drawings I made, sometime in late 2012.
